Proper Tahini

After talking about it so much, it’s finally here - the recipe for tahini!


I won’t lie, my favorite way to eat it is raw, straight from the jar. I love the rich, earthy flavor, especially paired with a few cubes of feta cheese to bring out its depth. But sometimes, you need a little lemony zest or a thinner version to drizzle over everything and for this purpose we have this.


The Recipe

What you need:

  • 1 cup raw tahini

  • 2 cloves crushed garlic

  • 3/4 cup cold water

  • Juice of 1/2 medium lemon

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • optional- 1/2 cup chopped parsley, 1/2 tsp sweet paprika

What you do:

It's so simple, no steps needed - mix all the ingredients in a bowl and adjust flavors as needed with any of the ingredients.

Store in the refrigerator.
